Biography

Shenae is an Associate Lawyer at James Law Professional Corporation.

She attained an Honours Bachelor of Science in 2017 from the University of Toronto with a double major in Psychology and Criminology. Shenae received her law degree at Leicester University in the United Kingdom. She returned to Canada in 2019 and while completing her National Accreditation worked as a Litigation Law Clerk in Financial Litigation. While articling she gained experience in Immigration Law and continues to do Sponsorship applications for PR and Citizenship applications. Shenae was called to the Ontario bar in 2022 and began working as a Family Law Associate as a member of the Peel Law Society.

Shenae’s practice focuses on Family Law, including divorce, custody, access/parenting time, child support, spousal support, and division of property/assets matters. Shenae also practices Child Protection (CYFSA) Law and Criminal Law. Shenae has represented clients with an array of charges such as domestic violence, assault, theft, mischief, and much more. Her aim is to build a practice that is driven by the desire to help clients in need. Shenae is an active member registered on the LAO (Legal Aid Ontario) Roster for Criminal, Family and CYSA matters. Shenae is also equipped and experienced in drafting and executing Wills and POAs.

Outside of work, Shenae spends most of her time with family and friends. Shenae was born in Jamaica and has loved helping people since she was a young child. She is very involved in her church and loves to volunteer in the community. She also enjoys singing, writing, and reading and has a passion for the mentorship of at-risk youth.
